Although Laura’s been drawing all her life, her first published illustrations appeared in The Little Lutheran. She recently left a string of emotionally unsatisfying jobs to volunteer full-time with Heifer Project International, a world hunger relief organization. She has plans to increase her knowledge of sustainable, organic and humane farming and living, possibly leading to homesteading, veterinary medicine, or animal rescue … not sure yet! She loves all animals, but is especially fond of goats and is working to become an expert on them someday. When not doing farm work she enjoys drawing and loves the world of children’s literature, a field she hopes to explore further.
