Increasingly, we are expanding our focus to help our partners build their capacity to sustain their health programs and deliver lasting, measurable improvements to community health. We have an annual income of over 3 million dollars from our donor base. Employee salaries and benefits, administration, and fundraising costs are a small percent of our income. With a paid staff of 6, we rely heavily on volunteers to accomplish our mission with 2,981 volunteers contributing nearly 13,000 volunteer hours in 2013. There is a board of 24 elected members. GHM has a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator.

Primary functions: The Executive Director’s primary functions are to lead GHM, its volunteers, and board into effective relationships with our Lutheran partners around the world to bring about measureable improvements in the health of the populations they minister to in Christ’s name. This role includes overall administrative and financial oversight, outreach and communication with partners and donors, fundraising, and advocacy and development of collaborative efforts with national and international partners to advance Lutheran health care ministries around the world. International travel is required.
