LUTHER COLLEGE is conducting an extensive international search for its next President, to take office in July, 2010, and invites expressions of interest, applications and nominations. Situated on two campuses in Regina, Luther College is a college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada (ELCIC); its purpose is to provide quality education in a Christian context. The University program is federated with the University of Regina and the high school program (grades 9 to 12) is accredited by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Education. With over 1,000 students and approximately 120 faculty and staff, Luther College provides both the activity and resources of a large institution and the sense of community of a small campus. Reporting to the Board of Regents, the President is the chief executive officer of Luther College, and is responsible for providing strategic, innovative leadership. The ideal candidate will be a person of vision with demonstrated leadership success and academic administrative achievement, dedication to excellence in teaching and research in the liberal arts, and the ability to guide the affairs of the College. An understanding of contemporary issues in high school and post-secondary education is valuable; leadership in fundraising is crucial. A strong commitment to the Christian faith and a passion and vision for Luther College's mission are required. An earned doctorate is preferred.
