The Magazine of The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America

Where are they?

You're probably wondering where our staff has been these days? No new blog postings! We've all been fanning out to various synod assemblies, many of us gone each weekend and then back during the week to try meet the deadlines for both magazines (The Lutheran and The Little Lutheran ). While it's been keeping us all busy (and our marketing director still is on the road—or in the air!), these have been wonderful opportunities to meet so many of you personally.

E-mail and snail mail are nice. Phone conversations are good. But there's just nothing like face-to-face conversation. It has been a joy to worship with many of you, to hear your assembly business and see the broad array of ministries in which your synods are engaged, to share stories with you and also to tell you more about our magazines. What I always value most is the opportunity to listen. To hear what God is doing in your life these days, what God is doing in the life of your congregation and in your synod. And then I always want to hear how both magazines can better help you in your context.

If you didn't meet any of us at your synod assembly, please do feel free to call, write or e-mail us with your story ideas and with your ideas on how the magazines can connect you even better to other ELCA members, congregations, synods and ministries.
