Nurturing faith in children

My colleague Amber told you about the redesign of The Little Lutheran Website and about its little sister publication, The Little Christian . I want to underscore the new publication, which will begin in January 2009. Actually The Little Christian will be the same great magazine at the same great price as The Little Lutheran.

Many of you have told us that you couldn't subscribe to The Little Lutheran for your grandchildren, godchildren or friends because they weren't Lutheran—but that you would have liked to send the magazine. So we hope this will provide the answer for you.

In time we also hope to promote this to the ELCA's full-communion partner denominations. Meanwhile, of course, we will accept subscriptions from anyone. To subscribe visit the Website. A one-year subscription to either magazine is $24.95.

If you are interested in obtaining the best price, find a few friends to order with you. Orders of six or more subscriptions, with one billing address and multiple mailing addresses, qualify for the low rate of $12.95 per subscription. You certainly can't buy a toy or book for that price! I'm a grandma and I know what such things cost.

The special rates are great for congregations too—who may wish to order for preschools, nurseries, Sunday school, vacation Bible school, cradle roll mailings, children's sermon resources, in-home curriculum resources, companion synod gifts, worship bags, baptismal gifts, baptismal anniversary gifts, spiritual formation and evangelism.

Call 800-328-4648 for information or for bulk orders (several issues to one address) or group orders (one billing address and multiple mailing addresses).

Order a gift that lasts a lifetime. Buy The Little Lutheran or The Little Christian for those precious little ones in your life—or in your congregation.
