Family values

So are the rest of you tired of all the political rhetoric too? Real and honest debate and disagreement is fine. It's something we all would do well to learn, especially in the church. But what passes for debate these days seems far less civil than what most of us learned in debate classes and clubs. And just as we have in the past several years, we hear the term "family values" thrown around loosely. Just who has the best family values? Who decides? What does it mean anyway? And do we need to walk the talk or just talk it?

I'd love to hear: What do you think the term means? Does our Christian Lutheran faith have anything to say about this?
