Hey you! Nice shoes!

Last Friday, I heard a brief story on NPR about Purdue University's "compliment guys."

They're Brett Westcott and Cameron Brown, students who spend every Wednesday afternoon (rain or shine) calling out compliments to strangers walking by.

"I love giving free compliments — there's nothing else I'd rather do," Westcott said in a Purdue University news release.  "The first day I was a little bit nervous because I wasn't sure how people were going to take it. But we've had a good response."

Despite some people's suspicions otherwise, the men have no ulterior motives. They're simply passing out compliments for free.

Have you ever given or received an unsolicited compliment. What was the response?
