The Magazine of The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America

Why blog?

I'm currently at the Stanford Publishing on the Web workshops in Monterey, Calif. I'm listening to Scott Karp of Publish2 and Publishing2 about the power of blogging.

I've not been very good about blogging here, lately. Not sure why. Maybe I've been seduced by other social networks like Twitter and Facebook, where The Lutheran is cultivating relationships with readers, users and content creators.

But Scott Karp's presentation is bringing me back to some core benefits to blogging: personality, human aggregation and identity.

Why do you keep coming back to this blog, even when we, as editors, don't update daily? Are you disappointed when we don't blog daily? What value do you find here? What do you want to hear from us on this blog?

We'd love to read your comments below.
