North Dakota: Laura Bush visits ELCA congregation
The Associated Press reports that Laura Bush visted the 124-year-old Sims Skandinavian Evangelical Lutheran Church, an ELCA congregation in Almont, N.D.
The congregation received a grant through Save America's Treasures (which Bush chairs) and the Preservation North Dakota: Prairie Churches project. (See "Saving history" in the April 2008 issue of The Lutheran.)
