Myanmar: New ways to do mission

A bishop presides at the wedding of a young pastor and his bride. Another bishop preaches. Lively music is provided by a keyboardist, guitarist and children's choir.

While the scene may not be totally unique, consider this: the groom is a young pastor in the Myanmar Lutheran Church and the bride's father is head pastor of that denomination. The presiding bishop is Philip Lok of the Lutheran Church in Malaysia and Singapore; the preacher is Bishop Terry Kee of the Lutheran Church in Singapore. Much of the music has a bluegrass feel, and the children sing and dance to traditional songs from Myanmar's Khumi-chin people.
