Pray for your enemies
Begin with your hurt and anger. God will soften your stony heart.

By bringing our real thoughts and feelings to God we allow God to transform our hearts. If we try to do the work of transformation before we turn to God, we are leaving God out of the forgiveness process. Since our hearts aren't transformed in an instant, we may have to turn to God 70 times seven times before we truly forgive the one who has hurt us.
