I often wonder what the people in ELCA pews think of us [in the Missouri Synod]. What I hope will happen increasingly over the years is contact, that there is patience with us and on our part with you."
So said Ralph A. Bohlmann, president emeritus of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, at the conclusion of an interview with The Lutheran. Where ELCA and LCMS pastors are working and studying together in th eir localities, "a high level of affection" exists, he said.
