A minute for the synod

Every day at 1:11 p.m. across the Southeastern Pennsylvania Synod, cell phone and wristwatch alarms remind people to pray for the work of members, congregations and ministries of the synod, as well as Bishop Claire Burkat and staff.

Started by the synod's Faith Formation Team, "this minute was not chosen because it is convenient, but because it is evocative; it reminds us that we are first and foremost people of prayer," said Leslie Richard, a spiritual director and team member.
