The Lutheran ventured a little further into the world of electronic communications at the start of the new year by offering print and Web subscribers a digital edition of the magazine.
The digital edition is an online presentation of the print magazine. You can "flip" through it by clicking the bottom corners of pages to turn forward or backward, or you can use directional arrows to browse through it. It's similar to sales "catalogs" sent via e-mail by companies such as Home Depot and Lands' End.
It comes with a couple of advantages over the printed version, such as active links to more information via the Web. Simply click highlighted text and you'll be taken to that site in a pop-up browser. This is used throughout the edition, in both editorial content and advertising.
