Women have now been ordained in all of the Episcopal Church's 100 dioceses.
Margaret Lee, a grandmother of five and former chemist, was ordained by the final holdout, the 133-year-old Diocese of Quincy (Ill.), according to Episcopal News Service.
A spokeswoman for the Episcopal Church said all dioceses in the 2.1 million-member church have now ordained at least one female priest.
The Episcopal Church voted to open the priesthood to women in 1976.
