While looking for ideas for his Eagle Scout service project, Lucas Schneider hatched an idea for a new ministry.

The high school sophomore and member of Advent Lutheran, Madison, Wis., was working in the church garden last spring with Jeff Wild, pastor, when he suggested that the congregation acquire chickens. Wild responded: Why not build a chicken coop for his Eagle project?
