Al Snyder of York, Pa., whose son's military funeral was picketed by members of Westboro Baptist Church, Topeka, Kan. The church contends deaths in the military are God's punishment for tolerance of homosexuality. The two sides faced off at the Supreme Court in October over whether the church's funeral protests are protected by the First Amendment.
