Irja Askola, Finland's first female Lutheran bishop, said both church and society must strengthen trust.
"If we cannot get into good terms in order to be able to communicate with those with different opinions, backgrounds or ways of life, we are on the way to destruction," Askola said at her September consecration as a bishop in the 4.5-million member Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland.
