Members of Lutheran Church of the Living Christ, Florissant, Mo., have taken the "no phone zone" pledge made popular by Oprah Winfrey.
Signers promise not to text or make phone calls while driving. An adult education program, "Driving While Distracted" led by Sister Mary Michael McCulla, parish nurse, sparked interest in the movement.
Pledge sheets are still being distributed to those in the congregation and community, reminding them to be good stewards of their own and others' health and safety.
For more information, contact McCulla via email.
