Militants boot aid agencies

A Somali Christian leader condemned the actions of Shabaab, an Islamic militant group which demanded that World Vision, Diakonia (a Swedish church group) and the Adventist Development and Relief Agency immediately leave Somalia.

Shabaab alleged that the agencies were propagating Christianity. "Now that they have suspended their work, it is the local people who will suffer," said Ahmed Abukar Mukhtar, who in exile leads a small Christian community in Somalia.
