After a summer of forest fires and drought hit Russia, Orthodox Christians gathered aid and the Russian Orthodox Church prayed for rain and condemned those profiting from the disaster by providing supplies at exorbitant prices.
Moscow had a break from the heat mid-August, when rains finally came.
