Women at the Well

Award recognizes women for prison ministries

During the Woman at the Well conference at Salem Lutheran Church, Chicago, in August, Ngozi Harris (left), family services coordinator for Lutheran Social Services of Illinois'Connections program, presents Woman at the Well Awards to: Deborah Voltz, who cares for her incarcerated daughter's children; Patricia Pitre, a former inmate and Connections volunteer and intern; and Hara Scalin, who as a recently released inmate helps others transition from prison to freedom.
