Consider a back-to-school blessing for an August worship service

Summer has cranked up to full blast. Fireworks boom for the Fourth of July and outdoor concerts rock city parks. Kids across the country are tuned in to the splash of the pool and the rumble of theme parks.

Although noisy fun is a staple of summertime, experts say it can drown out the important need of children and youth for quiet time — moments of calm that help refresh the body and soul.
