In an April 29 statement, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania said, "Those in same-sex marriages, and those who support the legitimacy of such marriage, shall not be invited to work in the [denomination]."
Stating it will "further reject their influence in any form," the ELCT said funding should not be used to attempt to change the church's position.
