Flocked by flamingos

Holy Spirit Evangelical Lutheran Church, Turbotville, Pa., is flocked by flamingos.

Holy Spirit Evangelical Lutheran Church, The Montgomery House Library is raising funds for its programs with the flamingo approach.

Typically, individuals give $25 to have a flock land in someone's yard (in this case, the church).

Likewise, people can spend $30 on "flamingo insurance" to keep the birds away, said Dan May, pastor.

Parishioners witnessed the birds on their way into worship, but they had mysteriously flown away by Tuesday.
