Mississippi tornado

In the wake of an April tornado that struck central Mississippi, Lutheran Disaster Response sent a $10,000 emergency grant to Lutheran Episcopal Services in Mississippi.

The tornado killed at least 12 people and destroyed hundreds of homes.

Sandra L. Braasch, an ELCA diaconal minister who serves with Lutheran Episcopal Services, said no ELCA church buildings or properties appear to have been affected.
