Early adolescence can be a time of rapid-fire changes. As boys and girls hit the years between 10 and 14, they begin the physical transformation toward adulthood. But while this time reshapes their bodies, it also holds the potential for shifting their spiritual outlooks too.
"Each kid is going to be different, but you do see many of them grappling with real questions about faith for the first time," said Todd E. Buegler, executive director of the ELCA Youth Ministry Network, a coalition of more than 700 youth ministry leaders.
