Daily Work, a Minneapolis and St. Paul agency with roots in the ELCA, has helped 225 people find more than 150 jobs since 2006.
"Without a job, the struggle to meet basic needs is a harsh reality," said Steve Grove, executive director (left), helping a job seeker with an industrial job application. "Daily Work plants hope through active engagement with job seekers to find solutions."
Of those the agency assisted from 2006 to 2009, 90 percent had no earned income when they encountered Daily Work; 64 percent were foreign born.
