Lutheran takes the lead

Baritone Philip A. Bouknight, a professional musician and a pastor of Trinity Ecumenical Parish, Moneta, Va., had the lead role in Jesus, Son of our Father, an oratorio given by the Salem (Va.) Choral Society in Roanoke, Va., in March.

The text was by Richard F. Bansemer, Virginia Synod bishop emeritus, and the music was composed and conducted by Aaron Garber, music director at College Evangelical Lutheran Church, Salem.
