How are you thanking your support staff?
Linda Gillis hasn't exactly written the book on church secretaries, but she has written a book for them.
Gillis has worked as support staff in a law firm, a synod office and several church offices — for more than 20 years and in seven states. Incidents from the Church Office (Infinity Publishing, 2009) includes 52 meditations shaped by her office experience, faith, even her Iowa childhood — stories on everything from working with troublesome office machines to faithful volunteers to grumpy pastors. 
"... but all other documents, like articles of incorporation, annual reports and member lists we file away."
