Malaysia: Interreligious hope

A recent interreligious dialogue at the Luther Center in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, brought together church leaders; Parliament members; state assemblymen; and Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, leader of the People's Coalition (Pakatan Rakyat).

Church leaders planned the dialogue after Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Petaling Jaya was attacked by arsonists in January — part of ongoing national tensions between Muslims and Christians over the latters' use of the word "Allah."

Good Shepherd survived with minor damage.
