Three in 10 Americans say they're putting less in the offering plate, according to a Barna Group phone survey of 1,000 Americans.
Barna found that while many donors were able to maintain their giving, nearly one-quarter cut their contributions to congregations by at least 20 percent.
Forty-three percent of actively religious respondents remained "seriously committed" to giving amid economic uncertainty.
