Swimmer's style breaks records

Swimmer Mallory Weggemann, suffering from back pain in early 2008, walked into a hospital and received an epidural.

She never walked out.

Instead, Weggemann, a member of All Saints Lutheran Church, Eagan, Minn., lost the use of her legs. A few months earlier she was captain of her high school swim team — now she was facing a life spent getting around by wheelchair.
