Perhaps listening is the real art needed among us

Bishop Allan Bjornberg of the Rocky Mountain Synod wrote a message to leaders in his synod that jolted me into thinking about how difficult it is for us to disagree gracefully in the church. Here is part of his diagnosis and cure. It is a good start on the self-examination that Lent invites.
