According to the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life, 35 percent of Americans attend religious services of a faith different from their own.
Nearly one-quarter believe in some elements of Eastern or New Age beliefs, including reincarnation (24 percent), spiritual energy in mountains, trees or crystals (26 percent) and astrology (25 percent).
While 7-in-10 white evangelicals and African-American Protestants said they'd had religious or mystical experiences, fewer than 4-in-10 traditional Protestant or Roman Catholic whites did so.
