What might you get when you blend classic forensic science and modern computer technology? A new image of Jesus perhaps. A TV documentary — Jesus: The Complete Story — produced by BBC and Discovery Channel, presented a new face of Jesus. Premiered on Easter, slated for rebroadcast and available on video (800-475-6636; www.discoverystore.com), the film depicts Jesus square-faced with short, curly dark hair and a trim dark beard. It's what Jesus could have looked like. Richard Neave of Britain's University of Manchester developed the face. The medical artist took a first century Jewish skull and useing sculpting clay constructed the face that might have gone with it. A computer enhanced the image with coloring derived from historical knowledge of the people native to the desert area in which Jesus lived.
