Court refuses sex abuse block

The Supreme Court in October turned away the appeal of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Bridgeport, Conn., to block release of more than 12,000 pages of records related to sexually abusive clergy. The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops backed the diocese, which has fought the release since 2002. But The Survivors Network of Those Abused by Priests said the release will reveal "who helped conceal clergy sex crimes, and which of those wrongdoers are still in positions of power."
