I wonder if Abel bullied Cain. Did Cain taunt Abel? My guess is that teasing, taunting and threatening occurred already in the first family.

I reflect on this after the March 5 school shooting not far from me in Santee, Calif. Of course, no one knows what went into the dark decision to fire that handgun. I don't know if bullying played a significant role in this tragedy. But I do know that bullying, taunting and name-calling have been endemic to our society for centuries. Many believe it's especially vicious among adolescents.
