After floods affected more than 100,000 people in Senegal, ELCA members sent $25,000 through ELCA Disaster Reponse for water, food, medicine and supplies. Families are dealing with waterborne diseases of cholera and diarrhea, as well as mosquito-borne diseases like malaria. The Lutheran Church of Senegal and the Communiter Center of Galle Nanondiral is using the funds for emergency hygiene, mosquito nets, antimalarial medicine, food and more.
