Annual four-day Global Mission Events will now be held triennially, given economic conditions. Instead, one-and-a-half day Global Formation Events will be held annually at various congregations. For 2010, 12 GFEs are scheduled. This fall three were held in Katy, Texas; Lincoln, Neb.; and Olympia, Wash. ELCA Global Mission hopes this change will engage more people in the pews.
