Missouri worship wars

Worship wars are "sinful," the Lutheran Church — Missouri Synod told its congregations. The LCMS Council of Presidents adopted an eight-page Theses on Worship, saying, among other things, that "the polarization that is affecting the church concerning the issue of forms, rites and ceremonies is sinful and hinders the proclamation of the gospel." LCMS President Gerald B. Kieschnick said the council hopes the denomination will have "prayerful conversations" about the theses.
