Lutherans in the know

All people should be heard in health-care discussions, Andrew Genszler of the ELCA Washington Office said in a Sept. 16 interview with PBS' Religion and Ethics NewsWeekly and Christian Broadcasting Network News. "But opinions should lead to constructive discussion by people of good faith, and ... we're still getting there as a country," he said. "Through congregational and health ministries, Lutherans also know the front lines of what living with marginal or no health care can do to people and families." See Health Care Reform for a statement on health-care affordability from the ELCA and other groups.
