Dorothy Prindle put off confirmation for 80 years—but was a student until the end. She confirmed her faith at 94 while living at Luther Village (now Lodge at Maple Creek) in Grand Rapids, Mich. (June 2005, page 26). She died July 6 at 98, but as Becky Ebb-Speese, her confirmation teacher/chaplain reported: “She continued to request instruction in the Lutheran faith—we went through both Lutheran Handbooks until the past year when her dementia increased.”
