An Israeli company is running Koogle, an Internet search engine designed for ultra-Orthodox Jews, for whom TV is banned and Internet and computers are permissible solely for work purposes.
Koogle (a combination of Google and kugel, a traditional noodle pudding) links to resources that don’t “contradict the values of our traditional Jewish audience,” site administrators said.
Koogle permits no photos of women and is shut down for the Sabbath.
