Almost two-thirds (62 percent) of adults at megachurches are under 45, compared to 35 percent at all U.S. Protestant congregations, according to a study by Leadership Network and Hartford Institute for Religion Research.
At megachurches, where 2,000 or more attend weekly services, 87 percent had invited someone to worship with them in the past year, compared to 45 percent at mostly mainline Protestant congregations.
