Church Publishing Inc., the New York City-based publisher of The Episcopal Church, in May announced changes after a “steep market decline in trade-book publishing.”
The publisher will suspend publication of general-interest books, reduce staff of Seabury Books by 30 percent, and strengthen its “publishing program for the churches and members of our denomination.”
A news release on the publisher’s Web site said the company is on “solid financial footing.”
