Seniors at Middleton [Wis.] High School had $11,000 in the bank to spend on themselves, but they gave it away.
And they raised more, encouraging the community to do the same. The recipient was Middleton Outreach Ministries, started by St. Luke Lutheran Church.
By graduation, MOM had received more than $37,000. Discussion about what to do with the class treasury took a turn when senior Steve Ticknor showed his video (view it at www.changetheworldchallenge.com).
He and 13 other seniors, several of them members of St. Luke, call themselves R.O.A.R. Renegades (Rise Up, Overcome, Achieve and Reach Out).
