On May 31, students at Oak Grove Lutheran High School stepped back on campus for graduation.
Students have met at a nearby public school since March, when floodwaters washed over a dike meant to protect the Fargo, N.D., school.
“The high school seniors have won accolades in academics, athletics and the arts,” said Bruce A. Messelt, Oak Grove’s president, “but they are almost like a class without a home.”
One of the institution’s goals after the flood was holding graduation back at their school, he said.
