On May 2, about 93 South Carolina Synod congregations participated in this day of service across the state.

Estimates are that more than 5,000 volunteers-including Dwayne (left) and Russell Dawkins, members of Our Saviour Lutheran Church, West Columbia, S.C., who hauled furniture — gave nearly 23,000 hours to do at least 569 projects, serving 37,000 people, with an estimated dollar value of their work set at more than $535,000.
