Geographers at Kansas State University, Manhattan, used U.S. federal statistics to map out “hot spots” for Christianity’s seven deadly sins (envy, gluttony, greed, lust, pride, sloth and wrath).
They found that while Las Vegas may be known as “Sin City,” parts of the Bible Belt have more transgressions per capita.
Researchers — who examined sexually transmitted disease rates for lust, theft rates for envy and violent crime rates for wrath — said the study isn’t a serious measure of wickedness, given the difficulty of quantifying sin.
