First lady Michelle Obama included the Lutheran Volunteer Corps while praising today’s socially conscious young adults in an April article she wrote for USA Today.
While touting the Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act, she wrote, “This will help folks such as ... Nicole Fauble (directly behind Obama) of the [LVC], who work(s) at Miriam’s Kitchen, a homeless service agency near the White House.”
LVC, a national service program active in 12 U.S. cities, turns 30 this summer.
